Hire Genius is a global leader in recruitment. Focusing on hiring experts, this UK-based company has recognized the frustrations of connecting, texting, and interviewing candidates from different sources and identified a need for an all-in-one platform. The business aimed to develop a solution that would seamlessly operate without additional tools and offer sufficient practical functionality for recruitment and HR experts.

Challenges

Hire Genius aimed to create a unique product for recruitment and HR teams. With its comprehensive Salesforce-based CRM system and a clear, understandable recruitment workflow, this innovative cloud-based tool was designed to support the hiring process at every step. It aims to make everyday recruitment operations faster and more efficient, store data on the cloud, and help experts better prioritize tasks.  

We have identified three significant challenges that hindered recruiters from optimizing their processes when using offerings already on the market.

  1. The absence of a comprehensive CRM/ATS solution forced HR teams to rely on multiple third-party tools such as Viber, LinkedIn, WhatsApp, SMS, or email, resulting in fragmented data storage. Recruiters had to invest additional time piecing together a complete candidate's profile and manually searching through various communication channels to locate scattered data fragments, such as phone numbers, CVs, and other relevant information.
  2. Additional hidden costs are associated with those third-party tools. These financial resources could have been better invested in software that doesn't require external instruments, resulting in a more cost-effective solution.
  3. Traditional CRM/ATS systems require extensive manual effort that slows down the hiring process.

Outcomes
What we did
  • Collaborated with The Gradient, a niche UI/UX agency, to combine skills and knowledge in Salesforce development and design;
  • Conducted a competitor review of HR and recruitment tools to gain a better perspective on market trends; 
  • Performed user interviews to identify major pain points of the target user personas;
  • Implemented a stylish and intuitive Salesforce-based UI;
  • Created wireframes to test user flows and validate the design agency’s ideas against Salesforce limitations and requirements;
  • Established a collaborative design system to balance standard and custom elements in Salesforce.
  • Conducted user testing to gather feedback and made customer-focused improvements;
  • Integrated all the essential 3rd-party tools and applications to ease the recruiters’ daily work;
  • Developed a mobile application specifically for recruiter-to-candidate communication on the go.
Results
  • Comprehensive candidate profiles, including personal information, received files, and communication logs from Twilio, WhatsApp, SMS, and call notes;
  • Communication feed and scheduling of audio, video, and in-person meetings through SMS and email;
  • Talent pool feature allows to source candidates faster with a custom database of prospects;
  • Efficient tracking of all recruitment stages, from initial screening to onboarding, with the Recruitment journey dashboard;
  • A clear overview of each vacancy with the Job order feature;
  • The strong support system architecture allows addressing any questions or concerns immediately;
  • Chrome Extension provides an easy and convenient way for users to keep up with communication and get instant updates.
