Heise Marketing manually managed client contracts and marketing processes, leading to inefficiencies in production workflows. The client needed a system to automate the production for various contract types, integrate their back-office data with Salesforce, and automate their sales processes to serve their customers better. Additionally, they sought to improve task assignments, client communications, and contract lifecycle management.
As Heise Marketing prepared to expand its marketing operations with Marketing Cloud Next, customer data quality became a key concern. Contact and lead records entered Salesforce from several sources, while potential duplicates were reviewed manually using standard Salesforce duplicate alerts.
Customer relationships also added complexity. A single contact could be connected to several accounts, and the client needed to use these relationships when building marketing audiences. Heise Marketing required a clear Data Cloud architecture that could bring externally prepared golden-record identifiers into Salesforce, create unified individual profiles, and support reliable segmentation.
